Palak Paneer

Palak Paneer is a scrumptious, hearty Indian dish prepared with All Natural GOPI Paneer and spinach. This traditional greens based vegetarian dish is rich, smooth and creamy where paneer cubes are cooked in a spinach, onion and tomato based gravy which is spiced with Indian spices.

● 2 cups fresh Palak (Spinach), chopped
● 4 oz. cubed GOPI Paneer
● 1/2 can (7 oz.) chickpeas (optional)
● 1 large onion, chopped
● 1 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
● 2 tbsp Karoun Butter
● 1/2 tsp cumin powder
● 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
● Salt to taste
● 1 or 2 green chili - according to taste
● 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
● 1/2 tsp garam masala

1. Add spinach, chili and ginger garlic paste to a heated pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. Let cool, and puree along with chopped tomatoes.
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry paneer until lightly browned. Remove paneer from pan.
3. Add cumin seeds and onions to the pan. When onions turn transparent, add the pureed spinach mixture and the drained chickpeas. Stir while cooking.
4. Add in garam masala, salt and the fried paneer pieces. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add 1 tbsp Karoun Butter.
5. Serve hot with rice.
